Vietnamese Black Tea in a lotus flower - Vietnam - En stock
Grand cru
New: with black tea
Born during the reign of the last emperor of Vietnam, Bao Dai, the tradition of imprisoning and thus perfuming the leaves of a rare tea (grand cru harvested from ancient tea bushes) in a whole lotus flower plucked at dawn is a well-kept Vietnamese secret. Once reserved for the nobility and royalty, this incredibly fragrant, precious and delicate tea requires great expertise on the part of its producers, a true Vietnamese tea art.
Origin: Thai Nguyen, Vietnam
Aromatic notes: delicately floral, with lovely fruity notes (raisin, cherry, toasted almond).
Preparation: 3 to 4g of tea, a few stamens, pieces of petals and lotus leaves in 30 to 50cl of water at 75°C. Steep for 3 minutes.
Total weight: 30g to 40g depending on flower size, for 4 to 5 infusions.
Suggested packaging: 1 vacuum-packed flower (for optimum preservation of color and flavor) with instructions for use (18€) OR the same in a gift box with a preservation sachet (21€).
