Meet Manon Clouzeau

Manon Clouzeau has been a ceramist for a dozen years, specializing in bowls and gaiwans. On the occasion of her exhibition in our premises from October 7 (opening on the 7th from 4 to 8.30pm, free admission), a workshop-meeting is proposed on Tuesday October 8 at 5pm. Limited to a maximum of 10 participants, it will be an opportunity to discover her work, discuss her skills and her career, and discover her unique pieces over a tea tasting. This event is free of charge, but requires prior registration for organizational reasons.

“I made my first bowl when I was thirteen. It was round, it was full, it was yellow.

For the past twelve years, I have devoted myself exclusively to the creation of glazed stoneware and porcelain lump-turned bowls, gaiwans and pourers. I sit cross-legged, facing the wheel. My breathing becomes slow and deep, supporting me. My pelvis relaxes, giving me a sense of grounding and connection with the earth. Once the clay is centered in my hands, I exert a series of pressures, opening and refining movements on the soft, wet material. ”
