This green tea grows 1.400 meters high on Shan Tuyet wild tea trees in the Northern Vietnam Mountains. It is harvested by the Lao Cai organic and fair-trade Cooperative, following the "Imperial harvest" principle: only a bud and a young leaf are collected.
The manufacturing process is rather sophisticated: the jasmine flowers are picked in the early Morning just after blossom (between May and July) and are immediately placed on top of a layer of tea so that the tea leaves naturally absorbs the scent and taste of Jasmine. The flowers are then spread apart to leave only the green tea gently perfumed. It takes 1kg of fresh jasmine flowers to flavour 1kg of tea leaves. The Jasmine garden is right next to the tea factory, as the jasmine flowers are fragile and can not withstand long journeys.
Vegetal notes and a very light pole of nuts enhance the floral pole. A floral tea, delicate and captivating!
