A guide to our organic herbal teas and their benefits
The use of plants for their benefits on health is known since at least antiquity. Every culture was using their powers, from China to Africa, India to Europe. Our herbal teas are your mates for relaxation everyday, and are made from organic plants that help to deal with everyday little inconveniences, such as colds, digestion, stress or insomnia. Let's find out which herbal tea suits you best!
Infusion or herbal tea?
Herbal tea is the drink you get from one or several plants (different than tea). The infusion is the process used to make an herbal tea: you pour some simmering water on plants and let the ingredients spread in the water for 5 to 10 minutes. Please note that you can also make an herbal tea with other processes: decoction (plants are mixed with cold water, everything is brought to boil together) or maceration (plants are put into a liquid like vinegar, wine or alcohol for a long time, from several hours to a few days).
Teas and rooibos are also drinks made via the infusion process.
How do we create our herbal teas here at L'Autre Thé?
Arnaud Dhénin, our "nose", creates the receipes for herbal teas as well as for teas. Taste is our priority, but we also take into account the properties and benefits of each plant. For our "Pure Infu" range, Arnaud works with an herbalist located in the Center of France, and these receipes contain organic plants only, with no added flavours.
